Joan's career has included serving as a Research Physical Therapist at the NIH Clinical Center, a physical therapist with Arlington Public Schools, and a professor at Marymount University. Throughout her career, she has been most known for her clinical expertise and her commitment to thoughtful, individualized patient care.
Joan earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, her master's degree in physical therapy at Shenandoah University, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with doctoral training through a Pediatric Science Track at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). Her approach is grounded in strong clinical reasoning, evidence-informed practice, and helping patients and families achieve meaningful improvements in mobility, function, and independence.
Streamline brings that experience into the home, where movement actually happens, one-on-one, with the time to understand context that a clinic visit rarely allows.
